Application Engineer

About this Position As a Laboratory Application Specialist, you will play a critical role in supporting customer and business needs through laboratory testing, technical investigations, and product performance analysis. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including Sales, Application Engineering, Marketing, and Product Development, to deliver technical insights, resolve product-related challenges, and support innovation projects. This role combines hands-on laboratory operations, root cause analysis, customer-facing technical reporting, and compliance with quality and safety standards, making it ideal for a technically driven professional who enjoys problem-solving and collaborating across functions to deliver customer-focused solutions. What you´ll do Supports internal and external technical requests and projects through performing lab testing Completes Customer Technical Testing Requests and Reports within the database or equivalent. Performs / supports completion of Root Cause Analysis and Corrective Action Plan on all product related performance complaints Writes customer facing reports for the Field Sales/Application Engineering teams, Key Account Managers, Marketing, Product Development and Innovations or project team Runs and upkeeps laboratory equipment, leads/supports ongoing standardization, harmonization and administration of laboratory test methods, prepares SOP risk assessment of lab operations/activities Manage the lab, ensures laboratory and application equipment are calibrated and safety checked in compliance with local regulations To assist in day-to-day laboratory operations e.g. arrangement for testing, inventory control of laboratory supplies and chemicals, lab consumables etc Maintain and upkeep laboratory records, including documentations for inventories, SDS and safety Ensure that all safety guidelines are always followed strictly and maintain good housekeeping Any other ad-hoc duties assigned
