Position Summary: The Project Engineer reports to the Project Manager, who has ultimate responsibility for both the quality of INTECSEA deliverable and effective execution of project assignments. On projects where no Project Engineer is assigned, Project Manager is responsible for these duties. Typical Responsibilities: Applies standard engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria, using judgment in making adjustments & modifications. Performs work that involves conventional types of plans, investigations, surveys, structures,or equipment. Knowledge of principles and techniques commonly employed and include the following: equipment design, test of materials, preparation of specifications, trade-off study, research investigations, report preparation. Prepares calculations and sketches, runs software, provides data summaries and narratives for inclusion in written reports. Provides engineering support to project team by completing specific assignments and gathering information. Desired Skills & Experience: Ability to communicate at all levels within the organization. Proven track record of exceeding performance metrics. Job Requirements Technical Requirements: Position has responsibility for coordination of all technical activities on assigned projects. Assists project planning and scheduling; conducts and coordinates assigned engineering work; monitors work for compliance to applicable codes, accepted engineering practices, and INTECSEA standards; ensures effective communication and coordination on assigned projects between all disciplines and all other project participants. Responsible and accountable to ensure that all assigned personnel are coordinating their activities with other project participants, and that the requirements of the Contract are being satisfied. Responsible to ensure the technical accuracy of specific design details in areas where not qualified. Knowledgeable and aware of details to be able to recognize when technical problems are developing in the various disciplines, and to initiate appropriate corrective actions. Training & Education: Bachelors of Science in Mechanical Engineering or an Economics related field. 4 years relevant experience in lieu of degree. QHSE Requirements: Become familiar with the INTECSEA Quality Management System and HSE Guideline for INTECSEA Personnel and follows system as directed/required.
