Position Summary: Manage large SURF Field Development projects. Leads cost reimbursable as well as lumpsum projects. Plays a central role in bid preparation and resource estimating. Anticipates and resolves staffing requirements and schedule constraints. Establishes deadlines, milestones, and man-hour estimates. Works closely with Client staff to ensure alignment of approach and objectives. Typical Responsibilities: Understands commercial and contractual requirements and manages project to meet and fully comply with contract obligations. Fosters commercial awareness among project team and delivers projects within as-bid profit margins. Implement and apply proper project controls to monitor and correct progress; identify and implement corrective actions as required. Manage client expectations and manage scope creep with appropriate and timely management of change within the terms of the contract. Understand and apply the necessary project management processes, risk management, and quality assurance practices. Ability to make decisions and recommendations that are recognized as authoritative and have an important impact on extensive engineering activities. Ability to initiate and maintains extensive contacts with key engineers and officials of other organizations and companies, requiring skill in persuasion and negotiation of critical issues. Demonstrable creativity, foresight, and mature engineering judgment in anticipating and solving unprecedented engineering problems, determining program objectives and requirements, organizing programs and projects, and developing standards and guides for diverse engineering activities. Periodically serves as mentor or coach to younger staff enabling them to achieve their professional goals. Occasionally involved in recruitment to meet resource requirements. Interfaces closely with Clients and develop and enhance INTECSEA industry image . Job Requirements Technical Requirements: Project Management experience on large subsea and/or offshore pipeline and/or floating systems design & installation projects. Good understanding of cost reimbursable and lumpsum execution processes. Keen awareness of the offshore industry culture. Ability to lead multidiscipline and multi-cultural teams of offshore pipeline & onshore pipeline engineers. Proven execution of large scale projects related to subsea engineering. Team player and interpersonal skills. Education & Experience: Bachelors of Science in Mechanical Engineering or related field + 10 years relevant Project Management experience. 20 years relevant experience in lieu of degree. PMI Certification or equivalent certification. QHSE Requirements: Learns & actively promotes the INTECSEA Enterprise Management System and HSE in accordance with the HSE Guideline for INTECSEA Personnel.
