For over 25 years, INTECSEA has provided frontier technology leadership for the energy industry’s most challenging offshore field development and pipeline projects.   Position Summary: Senior Materials expert supporting subsea and offshore pipeline projects as part of a multidisciplinary team. Capable of providing valuable strategic assistance in complex projects or settings. Provide solutions in relation to materials of subsea structures, marine pipelines and risers. Provide specialist knowledge and expertise including preparing and reviewing materials procedures and specifications as required for subsea structures including pipelines, manifolds, jumpers and umbilicals. Welding knowledge regarding these subsea structures is a plus. Typical Responsibilities: Provide technical support for tenders and other procurement activities, by preparing and/or reviewing specifications and reports. Ensure that technical compliance to specification documents is maintained during equipment manufacture and fabrication. Interface and liaise with clients, project team members, inspection verification companies, technical authorities, materials/equipment manufacturers, quality departments and subcontractors. Provide input to project cost estimates for pipe, forgings, anodes, coatings and other materials components. Mentor, train and supervise less experienced engineers. Provide technical support to the client, for subcontracted fabrication activities. Seen as a recognized technical expert whose involvement substantially increases credibility of approach. Able to iron out all but the most difficult technical, resource or personnel problems in a multi-corporate and multi-cultural environment. Offers leadership to the team and leverages our ability to achieve excellent results. Is a strategic asset when facing external challenges such as regulatory, labor, contractual or commercial.   Job Requirements Technical Requirements: Detailed knowledge within the welding and materials discipline with experience in and broad knowledge of offshore oil and gas industry requirements and practices. Knowledge of the materials and welding-related requirements of international offshore codes such as DNV-OS-F101, API Spec 5L, API Std 1104. Excellent team working skills and the ability to interface with several different project teams. Good organizational skills and smart working method.  Desired Skills & Experience: Ability to lead at all levels within the organization. Proven track record of exceeding performance metrics. Education & Experience: Degree or post-graduate degree in Metallurgy/Materials Science and 15+ years relevant experience. QHSE Requirements: Part of the overall development team for the INTECSEA EMS, including the development of HSE processes and guidelines. Learns & actively promotes the INTECSEA EMS and HSE in accordance with the HSE Guideline for INTECSEA Personnel.
