About this role
ABOUT THE ROLE We're an early-stage ambient AI startup building a continuous system of context, memory, and intelligence designed to integrate seamlessly into daily life — helping people offload routine tasks and stay more focused on what matters. We're looking for a Community Operations Lead to build and own our community presence from the ground up. This is a zero-to-one role. You'll be a key, visible figure within the community itself, working directly with company leadership to define and shape the role as the work surfaces. If you thrive without a pre-built playbook and love turning engaged early users into true product evangelists, this is for you. WHAT YOU'LL DO - Build and run community presence across the platforms where early users are active (Discord, X, and others). - Own moderation, engagement, and day-to-day community operations — including resolving conflicts and driving meaningful participation. - Coordinate community events and touchpoints, both digital and in-person. - Partner with product and research teams to leverage the community for UX research and user studies. - Partner with Go-to-Market to execute coordinated campaigns with the most dedicated users and convert power users into product evangelists. - Define operational scope and build processes for community programs in a fast-moving, ambiguous environment. - Work directly with senior leadership to shape the direction of this function as it evolves. WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR Must-haves: - 2+ years of experience in community operations or management roles, building or growing online communities for B2C or prosumer products. - Demonstrated experience building community operations and engagement strategies from scratch in early-stage environments — without established playbooks. - Hands-on experience moderating communities across platforms such as Discord and X, including resolving user conflicts and sustaining active engagement. - Experience partnering cross-functionally with product, research, or GTM teams to surface community insights or run coordinated user campaigns. - Experience coordinating community events and digital touchpoints. - Operationally sharp — comfortable defining scope and building processes in ambiguous, rapidly changing environments. - Independently capable of making judgment calls and representing the brand publicly with confidence. Nice to have: - Experience coordinating in-person (IRL) community events. - Multilingual capabilities for engaging with international community members. - Background in consumer technology, hardware, or AI product communities. COMPENSATION & BENEFITS Compensation details have not been specified for this role. We're happy to discuss range during the interview process based on your experience and background. Please note: Visa sponsorship is not available for this position. LOCATION This is an on-site or hybrid role. Fully remote candidates are not a fit at this stage. Specific location details will be shared during the interview process.
